Went to a DVD store today in Midvalley and got these:

Actually good movies:
LADY GENERAL HUA MULAN
LOVE ETERNE
I can't resist awesome Huangmei operas! Plus, Ivy Ling Po! Lady General is the movie in which Ivy met her husband-to-be (to whom she's still married!!) and Love Eterne is a terrible retelling of the Butterly Lovers with total gender-bending awesomeness (plus, Ivy as Liang Shan Bo!)

Terriblawesome movies:
THE SNAKE PRINCE (I really don't know how to describe the awfulness of this movie. Bad dancing, bad music, bad choreography, bad bad bad special effects, but SOMEHOW... one gets VERY emotionally invested while watching. It's awful.)
A CHINESE TALL STORY (a retelling of Monkey that involves Hsuan-Zhang falling in love with a spirit-monster who really is an alien angel. Also, Monkey's staff turning into a mecha. And a queer alien princess with a giant spaceship.)

THE TWINS EFFECT II (I couldn't find no. 1 but I find that I don't really care)

I thought Tai Chi Zero better than Tai Chi Hero, but yeah Chinese steampunky goodness!

I haven't seen Hero yet, but yeah, I think with the death of Claire it's kinda easy to see where the story goes from there. ^_^
