Wow, that's fascinating! I'd not known about the history of the sign, but, you know, I live here, I've seen it pretty often over the course of x years. I also find the Pilgrim variation hilarious. :)

I've never seen the sign before, but now I'll be sure to look out for it when I move to CA!
