How awful. I hope that everyone at the health center, etc. remembers what happened so that you don't have any similar experiences when you return for followup. And having to take the bus to manage it all...! I would have gladly given you a ride, had it been in my city.
Two family members were recently in the hospital, and I was reminded how complicated & time-consuming the experience is, even when you've got someone else there to help. By the time the discharge dates arrived, my Dad was walking around with a briefcase containing file folders of lengthy medical documentation, and I'd begun my own paper & digital files to track care info.
