Ideas, segment 1
Dec. 14th, 2005 12:41 pmGood novels tend to spring from a single line, or at least, should be summarized within three sentence or less.
So, I guess I should compile some ideas that I could use in the future. Unfortunately, I never really think about statements in terms of plot, more in characters and their dilemmas, and the story's really about how they solve those dilemms (or how they come to terms with it) and then I just end up building a world around them because I don't feel like following them around 24/7.
Either way. Here goes:
1. Angeles is an angel (on probation, not fallen) taking care of a pig that's sprouting wings. When that pig is able to fly, the apocalypse will arrive, and Angeles has to be ready for it. What he's supposed to do then, he's not exactly sure.
2. To escape the onslaught of a rampaging rival house on her own, Lady Charity Verlaine flees to the New Continent. Along the way, she discovers she's a tainted dhampir, not a noble pureblood vampire as she has always assumed. Dealing with the shattering news of both twists in her life is hard enough without having a pack of Controllers after her for being an aberration of nature.
3. Aldrich, a nobleman of leisure, finds a wingless faerie who flies by use of an ingenious jetpack. Elizabell, an engineering genius, teams up with her new benefactor to build a laputa, an island in the sky. Neither notice the spell of a stunted romance coming their way.
4. A boobhan sith gives herself to a king to avenge the woman she loved. The king accepts in his quest for power, and as the boobhan sith ravages her way to vengeance and meddles in affairs of the castle, the king finds his love for his queen rekindled. Eventually, all of them have important lessons of humanity to learn, provided they don't die from the war that's coming to them.
5. In this world, everybody has a twin who're their complete moral opposites. What happens when a pair of twins start falling for one another?
