Bah, paperwork

THe following are the papers I had ro submit for my rental application:
- application form
- cheque deposit
- letter from bank stating I have an account
- letter from school stating I'm a student
- fax from my dad with a letter, and his last credit card statements.

Now, I have to get tenant insurance and submit a letter requesting permission to own pets. I don't even know what tenant insurance is for. In the event that my stuff disappears, it's actually really stupid to blame my building. Apparently if you lose certain types of stuff, you'll receive monetary compensation. In the evening I lose my stuff, I'll probably be too broken-hearted to care.

Now I have to figure out where to get my insurance from. Any suggestions?
