Why Pro-Life Fundies are Dangerous
Jun. 6th, 2008 02:24 pmSo imagine this.
One organization known for having a few branches that offer abortions (while in general offer birth control and family planning methods) has some land, and decides the best thing to do with it would be to give it to another organization which is known for building affordable housing for lower-income families.
Then pro-life fundies get wind of this, and incensed, hustle their ass over to the second organization and say, "hey, do you want your org to be associated with the BABY KILLERZ?" and rile up enough members of second said organization to stop the building project.
As you can guess, the organization offering the land (for $10, fer crying out loud) is Planned Parenthood, and the second one is Habitat for Humanity, which has broken off the deal a month before it would be approved by city councils. Said pro-life fundies are the American Life League, and sent 10,000 e-mails to Habitat for Humanity to stop the building project.
It appears that the American Life League is FAR more interested in the STOPPING THE BABY KILLING rather than PROVIDING AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR THOSE WHO *DO* KEEP THE BABIES.
Fancy that.
