jhameia: ME! (Writing in my Blood)
Yeah, I'm doing it. Somehow Tempest suckered me into it.

My goals are pretty simple:

- Finish the goddamn MRP. I'm aiming for two pages a day, starting tomorrow. I'm sick of reading theory by now, especially since all discussions on multiculturalism and postcolonialism in literature that I could find are from the 90's (unless they're analyses of black fiction, which is a great reference, but not applicable all the time to what I'm looking at! Still, it provides a model for the kind of historically-specific traditions of writing that I have to superficially trace). I fear I may have to fallback on TVTropes for some stuff.

- Write a poem every week for Kakak Killjoy. Have I told you about this yet? Kakak Killjoy is a Malaysian feminist webzine. We've got a core group that includes [livejournal.com profile] tariq_kamal and [livejournal.com profile] yiduigie, blogging critical writing about Malaysian-relevant feminist concerns. Because we have real lives it's not very easy, but I've been posting some poetry there. I also post some political theory stuff. If you donate to Clarion, I will take specific requests.

- Because I apparently like pushing myself, I'm also writing something called the Measure of Deathness. .... I don't know what it's about either. But! Throughout the write-a-thon, I'll be posting 200 words every day and we'll see where it takes us.

Please sponsor me during these next six weeks! You can choose to donate a bit each week, or a flat donation for the whole write-a-thon, or even sponsor more than one writer!
