If you know a young woman who is a great leader in social justice, nominate her for the Edna Award!
And if you're Malaysian, The Sun is hosting a Malaysia and Me writing competition.

This is a fairly old piece (2007) but it has some thought-provoking observations on how race relations on the dance floor correlate with race relations in larger contexts Why, I Say, White People Can't Dance (And, Yes, It has to Do with Race/Culture/Rhythm, Appreciation, & Respect). If you start jumping to conclusions that this is racist towards white people, you need to sit your ass down and wonder why this is more important to you than understanding how minorities see their environment.
The myth of the noble savage needs to die, because it promotes colonialist thinking.
