Wow, two rejections in the same day
Feb. 21st, 2012 02:39 pmDavis and Brown rejected my applications. And I don't have official word from Santa Cruz yet about admission.
I do have a map of UC Riverside, though. Big campus is big.
Yesterday I was having lunch with a friend, and she asked me, "what if Mac accepts you, though?"
And that's a pretty difficult question. I would like to not have to move. I would like to stay and try to get rooted in this community. There is a local steampunk community here that has a lot of potential for growth. I don't really want to pick myself up and move all the way across and have to start from the beginning again. (Also, California sounds hella expensive.)
But a fellowship and a school that obviously wants me there is a pretty big deal to me. A campus where I could conceivably do better socially at is also pretty big to me (given last year's driveby with self-harm and stuff).
So.
