Overskirt, done!
Jan. 27th, 2013 12:42 amDespite a terrible interlude in which I had to attend a rollerskating party during which I fell about thrice, on my hands even, which meant a lot of trembling and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish sewing, I managed to finish this, and on time!
Either way, drafted and sewn all in one day, with some fancy tape Wilma gave me, is a new overskirt made of my DC heroines fabric! The same one as my corset, in fact.
This was done in time for tomorrow's meet-n-greet at the UU church. The local UU holds the Dickens Fest, and they're doing a steampunk theme this year, so I offered to pull together a bunch of different outfits to show them what can be done. And of course this little outfit is to demonstrate the kind of fun, very modern things that can be done with old styles.
It'll also be my first time meeting a bunch of locals who are totally not connected to school... we'll see how it goes! I hope they'll be as good as my Hamilton crew (who I miss a lot).
