(no subject)

It's noon but it's already been such a good day! Got up at 7am (later really) to hike with a couple of friends at the Botanic Gardens, and then H and I watched the 2nd episode of Sleepy Hollow. WHAT FUN! :D :D :D I've never watched any show week-by-week, or with anybody before, so this is a new experience for me. We're going to figure out how we can do this weekly.... preferrably in the morning (H is about as sensitive as I with creepy stuff).

Then I got a ride halfway to my office where I sat down and edited the department website as requested. I got sick of the WYSIWYG after a while which kept on introducing new code and mucking up the fonts (that was literally all I had to do: clean up the fonts) and went through, line by line, the HTML. I'm pleased to say I'm still capable of doing this kind of line-work.

I also was reminded that there's another seminar on SEAsian studies this quarter, and I think I just might have space in my schedule for it! Uhm. It's probably not advisable for me to take on another grad seminar while teaching, BUT I think I'll sit in on the first class and see how I feel about the syllabus. If it's something I feel is really useful for quals or my diss, then I'll continue.

I finished another chapter and got really hungry! So I thought I'd bring home some work. Probably won't work out. I'll have lunch and see how I feel.
