I do both. I tend to leave tags and picture comments, and then if they respond back, I'll add them. I should warn you that as a general rule, you'll get lots of requests for nudes and bikini stuff :P
And yeah, I feel the same way a lot here too. Last year I couldn't find any photographer who didn't go glamour (bikini stuff) in Malaysia!! So I had to go down to Singapore instead.
