Reaching Out

I'm thinking of discussing assimilation in fashion, and how PoC tend to take on the clothing of where they are minorities in order to fit in better. I'll be arguing that it would help the cause of diversity if PoC didn't feel the need to assimilate. I don't know yet though, it'll depend on what I can find. I also want to throw in stuff about more after-effects of colonialism in there, from PoC perspectives. Both these angles may converge.
