Here's a shot of a Balinese seruing I bought, modified and un-painted:

castusalbuscor came to me when he moved sometime last year. the_afterlight helped me wrap up aluminium foil to keep the two pieces together:
mathius15 came over with spray paint. Unfortunately, chrome does not photograph well with a crappy flash camera:
It was pretty dark when we spraypainted, so it's a bit much, so we don't get to see any of the black undercoat. So instead of looking quite worn, it's quite shiny. Then I went shopping yesterday, found an antrocious collection of "Oriental" beads, and picked out a few things I actually liked that didn't make me cringe:
