Whew, what a WEEK

Tasks of the week: write the review for ENGL and then write the ten-page paper for ETST

Monday: Scrambled to finish the paper. Finished the review. Had prolonged office hours for students who wanted to revise for the mid-term. Watched District 9 in the Media Library for class before the 4pm seminar. And because of ridiculousness, I decided to bake cookies.

Tuesday: Scrambled some more! Administered a mid-term. It ran until 2pm, had the 10-pager due at 5pm. Nearly cried because I ran out of things to say around pg 6. I scrambled a bit and got it in around 5.10pm. I ill-advisedly stayed up late until midnight.

Wednesday: Lisa came to get me at 6am, but I thought she was driving in from San Diego! So when she texted that she was on the way I thought I still had a lot of time. Was still brushing my teeth when she got here. YIKES! And even then, we arrived at Loyola Marymount around 9am anyway. WHAT. A LONG. DRIVE. I'm so glad I don't drive here, tbh. But still, ASTROBLACKNESS!!!!!! What a first day man! So many industry professionals. It was intense. And one of Lisa's friends gave me the script for the Sleepy Hollow pilot!!

Thursday: Did the same thing again! Except I slept more this time. My friend Eric came to my place for a pickup. It is something to watch two American nerds run off talking. And yet another great day! I also brought cookies that I baked. It might have come off as sucking up, or it might have come off as making a good impression, idk. Either way I am assured that my baking skills remain unsullied by time. Then I got home, crashed at 9pm, and got up at 3am to brush my teeth and remained in bed until 8am.

Friday: Taking it easy, but at 1pm there was a talk by one of the Astro-Blackness co-organizers so I hied to campus to see. After that I escorted our guests (plus Nalo) to the Eaton Special Collections where we were treated to cool things like The Ship That Sailed To Mars, the 2nd edition of Thomas More's Utopia, and an accordion publication of Flatland. There were also all these old editions of Amazing Stories and comics and it was great.

I escorted one of our guests back to a professor's office and went to my office to do some work (mostly sorting papers) for about an hour, and then went to Nalo's office so we could all go out for dinner at a nearby pizzeria.

GOOD TIMES! I FEEL VERY ACCOMPLISHED THIS WEEK. VERY FULL OF PEOPLE. I WANT TO SLEEP ALL WEEKEND NOW except I do have to grade these mid-terms and type out these notes for classmates.
