jhameiathe surgery itself was a really interesting experience! big machines, laser sights and sounds, will go into more detail when i can. the eye anaesthetic was also cool. it was very science fictiony. really neat. science!
the aftermath, not so much. my right eye has a long history of having shit it doesn't like go into it, and it cried and cried and cried a lot yesterday. sometimes i'd just close my eyes and then want to sit up to, idk, milk the eye of the current tears, and several huge drops would fall out. i've never cried so much before outside of pain (granted i dont think anybody does). it left me feeling either like a leaky walking ghibli character or a teary madonna.
my left eye is feeling much better today, but the right eye is still suffering some blurriness. i have a doctor's appointment for a followup in a bit, just waiting for my brother to come home now to get me, and we'll see if it's on its way. i think it's on its way, because this is how my left eye felt last night too.
but all the eyedrops sting like a bitch. the antibiotics i understand, the eyedrop that's supposed to help with the discomfort though, not so much. gonna ask for a different brand, maybe.
also, whoever brought back aviator glasses as a trend needs to step on all the legos. the only non-aviator / visor-style glasses are from Espirit and i did not feel that rich nor that sporty. i ended up getting stuff from Evita Peroni. EVITA PERONI for crying out loud!
