(no subject)

I got really bored and thus I am now on Facebook. I am kind of not seeing the big deal about it, tbh. I'll probably just use it for my dissertation research and chatting with friends but the bulk of my personal life blogging will still remains here on DW, and on Tumblr.

Today was a complete bust. I didn't even have breakfast. I walked outside a couple of times but that was it.

I, uh, found a funnel spider living on my dustpan if that counts as something interesting.

I managed to chase it off and get it into the bushes beyond my patio. I don't like killing things unless I feel I really have to.

I used to like Facebook 'cause it was a nice way of staying in touch with and/or reconnecting with people.

But nowadays, it feels a bit empty to me. A lot of time, my news feed is just filled with reblogged kitten pictures and internet memes. I guess the only reason I really stay on it is curiousity to see how others are doing.

...and I am in the process of deleting most of what is there; like most of the pictures. I'm not the only one disenchanted with FB. It does have its uses, mostly for quickie connecting but if it's that urgent, I will text if I know their number. FB is why I am reverting to snail mail.
