Ficlets, again!

OK, I figure, as long as I'm writing at least 500 words of fiction a day and staying in the habit of doing that, I'm good at keeping my hand in the fiction world. And I'm really liking the ficlet thing, because it's making me practise in the whole "economical words" factor. Part of my problem is, due to NaNo, that I tend to ramble on and on without actually thinking about what I'm writing. So exercises like this keep my mind disciplined while I get some actual writing done.

That, and I really needed one of those mindless entertainment breaks. What better way than to spend some quality time with my special ship?
