Things Accomplished!
Feb. 3rd, 2010 08:05 pmYesterday, I met up with a photographer friend for breakfast, and then we went wandering around the Botanical Gardens. I don't actually remember the Gardens much from the time I lived here in '92. In the evening, I had a shoot with another photographer friend. If I had known much bigger his new studio space is, I would have brought home my new outfit. As it were, I had two sets done: one Anita Mui tribute (as Shadow Fox from The Heroic Trio) and a simple portrait in a semblance of my steampunk outfit.

jolantru. We met up at the Esplanade, went to the Fish Spa where we stuck our feet in for feet to nibble on for 30 minutes but a horde of tourists came in and most of the fish abandoned us for them, and then had lunch, followed by hanging out at the Cookie Museum trying to decide what to buy. We then took the MRT out to Eunos station, and somehow she managed to direct a taxi out to the National Sailing Club, where we proceeded to spend a couple of hours moseying along the beach. We saw three birds of prey (and tried to follow them but failed) and I menaced a crab (she has pictures).
Getting home was trickier, because we didn't quite know how to hail a cab from where we were, and instead, walked, in the hot sun, all along the highway, found the underpass to the trail that leads to the Bedok Reservoir Park, and from there, caught a taxi which dropped me off at the Tanah Merah station and her back home. I even managed to bus from the Bishan station to my cousin's place without getting lost!
So yeah, full day, and I'm pretty happy.
I gotta find something to do tomorrow, though, since my ride home is only at 3.45pm, and that leaves me with, like, nothing to do before that. Maybe I'll find someplace to go for a pedicure.
