Blurble!

So I had a packed day today! Started off with a doctor's appointment and a Pap which, well, I like my doctor but she is VERY peremptory and does not bother warning me ahead of time what she plans to do. It's "you're going to feel my hand" and then suddenly SPECULUM. Come on lady! Anyway, she suggested that instead of allergy pills I take decongestants, so I will try that.

Around noontime I went to the Grad/Faculty Teatime which one of the profs likes to host around Lunar New Year's, and had a brief exchange with one of the Chinese professors I never spoke to before. Everyone got kind of awkward when they asked me what I normally did around New Year's and I said "well my family usually goes to a Kuan Yin temple and I'd like to go to the Mazu temple in LA Chinatown".

But I had to go for lecture! And afterwards we came back to the library to see that the prof hostess was still lingering and we hung out for our meeting and for tea. Then I helped clean up.

Meeting with the Indigenous Media prof, which also went well. I told her I wanted to talk about NDNs on Tumblr and how interventions occur on Twitter and Tumblr, and she suggested that I share a post I wanted to look at specifically, and I said it would have to be a few. I still have time to think about it though.

I have been unbelievably peckish lately and cannot seem to stop eating which is a problem.

I've also been happily sending email invites to people for the SEA steampunk anthology! Am very excited. Open call should be up soon! Yaaaaaaaayyyyy.
