(no subject)

I'm liking the cold weather but admittedly it is making it hard to get out of bed in the mornings.

Also regretting that I missed the deadline for NTU's CW professorship position, and wondering if I should try sending in something a bit belated.

I downloaded a couple of interactive fiction apps just to see what the whole business is about. I'm not sure that I get the appeal, to be honest? But then, I read really quickly, and if I had to stop reading every chapter or so because I didn't have enough credits or tickets I would just give up on the novel. (This is also why I've never really gotten into RPGs.) Still, it's amusing to pass the time with.

I'm trying to get back into writing fiction, and am revising my bobbitmaid story. Also should look into Wattpad since apparently that's where all the self-publishers are going to in Asia. (We can't sign up on Amazon KDP... only some countries can do that. I'd have to continue being a resident of the States in order to benefit from it at all, which kind of sucks. There is also Smashwords though, so I might look into that too.)

Alan is on Jeopardy again tonight, and Xio may not make it to DDR today, so I'm thinking of going downtown to Coffee Bean and sitting there for a while to write or read, not sure which. Maybe both.

I'm a little bummed and mad at a dude right now so I don't really know what to do but ah well, this is why I have remained single forever.
