Title: Skanks
Genre: poetry, song lyrics
Theme: nightclub shenanigans, sex
Comments: After being ditched by a previous group at the Dome, friends and I moved to the Attic (right above the Dome and plays a different kind of music and has live bands). Ryan and James were standing around the couch where Robert, I and Sean were on, and Robert asked Ryan something, and Ryan pointed at James and said "well, breeder" and then at me and Sean, "Skanks". Sean and I were like "cool, we're skanks."
This really ought to be a song, and I know it would've made for a pretty awesome one if I had any song-writing capability, but as it happens, I score nil in that department, so blah. Anything in brackets would be spoken. It should be rather radio-friendly - if dirty slutty chavunist hiphop songs can make it on the airwaves, this should be able to XD
we're cheap
we started on the nightclub floor
it wasn't only dancing
to the dirty music
we're feeling up each other
cos i wanted to do you
and you me
we are shameless we are whores
want each other, wanting more
beyond reason, who's to say
what we're doing could be wrong
we're skanks
making out on a musty old couch
that must have belonged to
some nice old lady
[who served tea and crumpets
during the afternoons]
we're soiling it with sweat
cos the summer is hot
and so are we
we are shameless we are whores
want each other wanting more
beyond reason who's to say
what we're doing could be wrong
we're sluts
fucking on a worn out bed
it used to be owned by a gay man
[he had lots of parties
who knows what's in this bed]
we're adding to its history
cos we can't keep our hands
off each other
let them cry scandal
let them laugh
let them say anything
let's just fuck
it's just an easy time
we're running out of time
i'm running out of time
we are shameless we are whores
want each other wanting more
beyond reason who's to say
what we're doing isn't wrong
[or isn't right]
