Hammie Woes

jhameiaIt's been a while since I talked about Xnedra. I decided to let her out a while ago because frankly, she's a lazy thing and is spending more time sleeping in her corner than doing anything. It worries me. She won't use her wheel. And, uh, I got rid of the ball I normally put her into for running around the house because all she does is try to get out of it instead of actually walking about the place.
The thing is that the hamster has a few places she likes to hide where she's hard to reach. One of them's the oven. Another is the couch. Neither are so bad.
However, I was lying in bed just now and I felt the springs in the box frame of my bed being tugged on. Xnedra occasionally gets into the box frame and I'm SURE she has a stash of food there. How do I feel her? It's like you know, the Princess and the Pea. I can FEEL it.
This is problematic because I'm pretty sure she really likes how dark and cosy it is in there and I'm not sure how to get her out...
EDIT: Xnedra is safe. While I was drifting into sleep, I heard her scuttle across a poster on the floor and got up to put her back in her cage. I may pen off an area for her sometime to let her run around.
