Why is this quote awesome?
1) Because it makes fun of stupid first-year students (and pretty much all other students who have that attitude).
2) It makes more fun of Dal than I've seen all week. Not that the Hole in the City song isn't good, it just doesn't share the same sweet simplicity of this quote!
3) Using a Monopoly allusion, no less, YES.

Date: 2007-09-06 09:07 pm (UTC)If you can cut class AND learn, that's one thing. But most students don't. You're an exception, Nolan, not a rule, and the general rule is, if you're cutting class and treating university like a bird course, you're not learning anything.
Sure, you may not learn just by attending classes, but attending class with the slight chance you might actually get something is a sight better than cutting class NOT learning.
That, and if more people were like you Nolan we'd probably wouldn't really need universities :P
