AAAAAA!!! *whine*

I've lost my mechanical pencil! T_T I don't know where it is... It has to be somewhere in this apartment but I'm not seeing it where it should be. I need it to practise writing Arabic, and I can't do it with a pen... I don't know, I just don't like pens for certain things. Even when I was old enough to be using pens in class, I still stuck to pencils because I just love the feel of them better. Now I've lost my only mechanical pencil and I don't know where it is! *cry*

I guess that's one more thing to put in my Christmas list... a set of mechanical pencils...

I feel for you. I'm the same way, but in the other direction. I prefer rollerball liquid ink pens over pencils. I despise ballpoint pens. If I need to use a pencil, it has to be mechanical. I have a whole bunch in the house for just such an emergency.

When I was learning arabic myself, I had to use a pen. I just never got comfortable with a pencil. Maybe because it was because I was practising my writing on the train everyday, but I think it really is because I love calligraphy. The arabic felt like calligraphy, and who does calligraphy with a pencil other than to perhaps doodle?
