I Finished Stargate SG-1

I love SG-1. It's a friendly show. Its humour doesn't depend on hurting other people, but self-consciousness, self-deprecation, and gentle teasing. It uses a damned fine storytelling formula. Okay, sure, roll your eyes; I like good formulaic story-telling. It's got a lot of heart, a lot of great details, and it asks a lot of difficult questions.
That said, when the Director's Series mentioned that the last episode suffered from a bit of malaise, I felt it. Which goes to show, you know, when you're having fun with producing something, it really show and your audience feels it. David Eddings once wrote, "If you're not having fun writing, your readers won't have fun reading."
I'm kinda sad that it's done and I've got the movies to look forward to. But other people were right; the last episode kind of ended on a bit of a lame note. RDA should've been in that last episode. The Ori storyline should have also have been done.
Oh well. Guess I should just go find the movies.
