jhameiaToday, I went to school late, didn't jog in the morning, but in the afternoon. I could barely make it 18 minutes before my left lower calf decided to hurt on me, making me stop. My feet were hurting. I don't understand. Missing a day shouldn't make me do this. I didn't even break much of a sweat! Bah.
To make up for this, I'm going to school early tomorrow and jogging for a quick 20 minutes. If it's the same as today, then I wouldn't break a sweat, and I'll be relatively clean for class at 9.30.
I got started on a response early, too. Had a bit of problem with the wording of the article I'm responding to, and went to see my prof about it (as well as discuss my term paper). (ps ithiliana, I won't be able to send you the paper after all =( My background in affect theory is just too shallow to properly revise the paper, and besides which, affect theory is pre-discursive, and embodied, and I haven't yet figured a way to translate that into cyberspace.)
Let's see...
Tuesday: Finish response paper, get started on Steam-Powered 2 submission, and finish reading Yann Martel's Self*
Wednesday: Talk from a candidate for tenure, and after Queer Theory a bunch of us are going to hie to Toronto to see Judith Butler speak.
Thursday: Begin marking undergrad papers.
Friday: Writing day. With some breaks to do some reading (I need to get started on my Caruth presentation)
*The problem with Yann Martel's Self is that it's for Queer and Trans Theory, and it's another Orlando novel, in which a white dude magically becomes a woman overnight (oh me oh my!). The writing is cute, but um, no, I don't think this counts as a trans text.
