And before anyone freaks out over dermathofofpanjasbwerwjkhdv, it's just dust mites, which would explain a hella lot. I don't understand why people tell me carpeted places are better when clearly they are the bane of my existence. I guess over spring break I should look into getting a steam cleaner.

Yep. It's kinda hard on them, especially the feather ones, and it takes extra time in the dryer to get them dry, but it offs the dust mites that live in them. Having allergies means having an expensive lifestyle in many small ways.

Another thing you can do that's less destructive to the pillows is run them through the dryer on high. This also kills dust mites, though it doesn't remove the dust as well as washing does, and it fluffs up the pillows something fierce.
